Faciliating and user testing in collaboration with
Ørestad Gymnasium, GAMUCATEX and Aalborg University
Date: January 2024
Place: Ørestad Gymnasium
Role: UX Researcher Intern at GAMUCATEX
I had the pleasure to present a slideshow for the high school students at Ørestad Gymnasium 👩🏫
The deck slides were a collaboration of Ørestad, GAMUCATEX and Aalborg University 🤝
The students will solve a case for GAMUCATEX.
I will as an Aalborg University student write my thesis with a partner regarding a case in collaboration with both the high school and the game company.
As a UX Researcher intern at GAMUCATEX, my thesis partner and I conducted a usability test on the game. We received great insights from the initiative high school students. 🎤🔍
The prior weeks for me have been about facilitating and updating the different stakeholders. I believe I can gain valuable communication skills by continue doing so. 🗣️
Thanks to the enthusiastic It- and History teacher Claus Witfelt for making this happen 😀

User test at The Royal Library
Date: October 2023
Place: The Royal Danish Library
Role: UX Researcher Intern at GAMUCATEX
Once again I conducted a user test at the Royal Danish Library. The last time was in September at the SpilBar56 event, which was catered more towards the game industry. This time around it was for anyone enthusiastic about games and was set in a more family-friendly setting. The attendees had for instance the opportunity to see Jakob Stegelmann from Troldspejlet live and try out various games.
User test methods consisted of a semi-structured interview with 14 questions designed after the request of different team departments of the company. My UX team and I wanted to gather data based on a wish list from our colleagues among game designers, developers, historians etc. And we wanted to focus on fewer questions, so there was time for follow-up questions and further elaboration. They were asked before, during and after the screen-recorded gameplay test. Children present at the event did not participate in these studies, but asked them to help us design banners for our game.
It was a pleasure to conduct user gameplay tests with my colleague UX Designer Vasileia Kakavou. We did it in style dressed as Vikings!
I met some cool and inspiring game creators namely Søren and Andreas from Triple Topping Games. It's always a pleasure to meet people with creative mindsets.

User test at Roskilde Festival
Date: June 2023
Place: The Circular Laboratory at Roskilde Festival.
Role: UX Researcher Intern at GAMUCATEX
Inside the barnyard of The Circular Laboratory in the middle of Roskilde Festival’s facility for a whole week, the team and I conducted user tests on over 90 festival attendees. Together with Andreas, CEO and founder of the company GAMUCATEX, Camilla (Sound Designer) and Historian Oskar, we used various methods to collect user data.
Every participant tested the company's game named
Tectonicus: On the Edge of War on two available laptops.
The methods used were different depending on the day of the week:
-
We audio-recorded interviews.
-
Had an available online survey.
-
Screen recorded the game plays.
-
Tested out a paper prototype.
-
Tested out a QR code for extra special card decks.
This happened on the first week of my internship and I had to try out methods based on my knowledge from the University as well as by
“trial and error”.

Hvidovre Hospital Navigation App
Date: May 2023
Place: Hvidovre Hospital and
Aalborg University
Role: Master's Student
During the 2nd semester of my master's degree, my case group and I designed prototypes of a navigation app for Hvidovre Hospital. We designed 4 iterations in total. The first three were sketches and the fourth was designed in Axure RP 10.

Accessible app
Date: April 2023
Place: Aalborg University
Role: Master's Student
During my 2. semester elective course in Design Thinking, my fellow students and I were given an interesting case where we had to find a solution for optimised facilitation at The House of Practise and Innovation. An age simulation environment for nursing students to gain empathy for their future patients.
My group and I designed a self-booking app (see on portfolio images below). Afterwards, I had to further develop the concept of the app on my own terms. Customized app with accessibility in mind.
“Focus not on the differences of people with disabilities but the talent of the individual.” – Neil Milliken, Head of Accessibility & Digital Inclusion at Atos.
This quote captures the essence of my assignment perfectly since the focus was on how to further design an app with accessibility and inclusiveness in mind. A concern from KP, the University College Copenhagen about students dropping out due to lack of accessible needs, while also an institute next door that offers age simulation forgets to facilitate in an inclusive manner, gave me an opportunity. I sketched prototypes for a customized app with accessible features and options to select the language English since KP also offers modules in English for international students. This was done with the intention in mind to please both The House of Practise and Innovation in terms of branding and self-facilitation as well as neurodiverse and international KP students.

Age simulation
Date: March-April 2023
Place: The House of Innovation and
Practise and Aalborg University
Role: Master's Student

In March 2023, I went on a trip to the House of Practice and Innovation with my fellow students from our Design Thinking elective of the Master’s program Information Studies.
It is a simulation environment for students in health fields such as occupational therapy to train for their future careers.
Of course, they get practical experience from internships, but this place can provide a real physical experience.
This can be done by giving them the opportunity to feel what it is like to walk a mile in their patient's shoes.
I have definitely gained a better understanding and even more empathy for the elderly by trying out their age simulation gear, goggles and earmuffs.
During my Design Thinking elective, my fellow students and I were given an interesting case where we had to find a solution for optimised facilitation.
For this case, we worked with the 5 Design Thinking process steps:
1. Empathy.
2. Define.
3. Ideate.
4. Prototype.
5. Test.
We ended up designing a booking app.
Search log analysis via “R“ of Jobindex’ recruiters
Date: September-December 2022
Place: Aalborg University
Role: Master's Student
Jobindex wants a more optimised recruitment interface.
In this context, my study group and I analysed the recruiter’s search history.
This was our 1st. semester project in autumn 2022 of the Information Studies Master's programme.
In this quantitative analysis, we examined the recruitment team’s search behaviour by looking at their search history using R, a programming tool for statistical analysis and visualisation.
We sought to gain a better understanding of the short-term (matching) and long-term (recruitment) information search processes and developed results that can improve the system used by recruiters.

Designing CVs for others
Date: September 2022
I occasionally optimize CVs and applications for friends and acquaintances.
It's just a personal interest of mine since I enjoy reading applications and CVs and I think it is highly important to learn about how to construct them.
Knowing how much it helped me after a course during my retail education,
I want to help other's land their dream job.

Marketing assignments for Efuma
Date: April-August 2022
Place: Efuma ApS in Hvidovre
Role: Marketing Assistant for Efuma
After having been employed at Ecigz for a few years, the store chain was bought by the B2B supplier company Efuma. Back in spring 2022, the new CEO of Efuma received a good impression of me. I asked critical and relevant questions regarding Ecigz and its future. This happened at a staff meeting and training course in Western Union. He noticed that I had business knowledge and thus I was hired at Efuma as a marketing assistant. My work involved rebranding, e-commerce, marketing and SEO for several of their websites.

Onboarding Guide for Ecigz employees
Date: February 2022
Role: Sales Assistant at Ecigz
This guide was created to increase the overall knowledge of how vape products, coils, liquids, batteries and chargers work.
But also in terms of how my colleagues could better become professional sellers and have better knowledge of the products.
While my former co-workers are alone in a shop, it can be nice for them to have a guide they can flip through to ensure that their knowledge is optimal, especially because it requires technical skills and they do not have an employee physically present who can help them.
I designed it in Adobe Indesign.

Communication intranet and white paper
Date: October to December 2021
Role: Sales Assistant at Ecigz
At my previous workplace, Ecigz, a retail chain store, I designed an internal communication intranet for the managers, colleagues and myself. In such a technical niche industry, it is important to advise each other,
but communication was not optimal at this time.
So I worked out a solution. It also later became part of my bachelor exam project.
Here you see an intranet made via the open source platform Wix. Next to it is a whitepaper that gives a brief explanation of the features and of course the reasoning behind it.
It was designed in Adobe Indesign.

Date: September 2021
Place: Impact Extend A/S
Role: SEO Assistant Intern
During the 3rd. semester of my bachelor programme I was a SEO intern at Impact Extend A/S, a digital commerce agency. An example of a task was to yse the programme Power Bi Desktop to make a “Treemap” graph of relevant keywords. It is a graph to give the clients an overview of which keywords guarantee the most traffic on Google search results.

Concept regarding unethical behaviour online
Date: June 2021
Place: Zealand, Academy of
Technologies and Business in Køge.
Role: Bachelor Student
In the second semester of my Bachelor’s programme, I chose Business and Entrepreneurship as an elective. In connection with this subject, my group and I had to invent a company and create a product. We had chosen to work with a self-invented company advising adolescents on online ethical behaviour.
When we had to develop a concept, I devised the solution to the app. The idea behind the concept is that if you are about to write something negative online, a pop-up box will automatically appear with suggestions for less harmful words to use instead. The idea behind the concept is not to take away the freedom of speech from others but to give them a reminder and suggestions for better behaviour online on social media. The image is just a quick prototype made via Canva.
This idea developed further into a website offering lectures and board games to enhance empathy skills and decrease poor online behaviour among young pupils and teenagers.

mood boards
-
biometrics
-
eye tracking
-
colour symbols

Flourist webshop and design probes
Date: November 2020
Place: Zealand, Academy of
Technologies and Business in Køge.
Role: Bachelor Student
Autumn 2021 was not only a dark time due to the cold weather, but also Covid-19 restrictions. Many companies faced many challenges. My study group and I had Binderiget Vestergade, a florist store in Køge as our case. We found out that the residents of Køge wanted an online shop through surveys and design probes. We otherwise analysed the company using the models: Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Design. We managed to meet deadlines by working agile in scrum sprints.

AP exam project
Date: June 2020
Place: Zealand, Academy of Technologies and Business in Næstved.
Role: Intern at Ecigz and
Commerce Management Student
During my AP programme, I was an intern at Ecigz,
a chain of shops selling vaping products and accessories. I already had experience with these products and was a skilled sales assistant beforehand.
So naturally, I chose to focus on the company when writing my exam paper.
I used theories and models such as:
-
The Minerva model.
-
Buying motives.
-
A, B, C places.
-
SWOT analysis.
-
The PCL model.
Proposed solutions:
1. Standardisation of store layout.
2. Expansion or change of goods.
3. Improved delivery of online orders.

Solutions for snaps company
Date: September 2018
Place: Zealand, Academy of Technologies and Business in Næstved.
Role: Intern at Ecigz and
Commerce Management Student
The very first project of my AP programme focused on how the company Snaps Bornholm can maintain its positive growth.
To collect data, my study group and I had a qualitative interview with the owners and with
a wine store owner who could potentially sell
Snap Bornholm’s products.
When analysing them, we used theories such as:
-
Organisational models.
-
Culture models.
-
The iceberg.
-
Porter’s 5 forces.
-
The Minerva model.
-
The 4 Ps.
Proposed solutions:
SoMe is not their core competency and thus we suggested that they should outsource that task.
We also had additional suggestions about webshop and rebranding.

Catfood campaign
Date: June 2018
Place: Petworld in Hørsholm
Role: Retail Trainee
For my exam from the retail trade school programme, I chose the topic of cat food with a special focus on the brand Arion Original in Petworld Hørsholm.
I wanted to optimise the sales of a brand with a high gross margin and to attract more customers with cats as pets into the store. We had too big of an amount of two of the variants in the shop and the price was low, but the majority of customers bought the brand they were familiar with.
To achieve my goal, I used good sales arguments, got to know the target group and trained the staff well. The result was a success and I and my colleagues made a lot of sales. This generated more memberships and Petworld made a good profit.

Date: May 2011
Place: Roskilde Technical School
Role: Web-integrator Student
A website I made as an exercise back in 2011 when I took the Web-integrator technical trade school programme.
It was coded in HTML, CSS for the frontend part. PHP coding was among other things used to call content from the database.I built the MySQL database myself.
